A lawyer admitted to the Colombian bar since 2007, where he practices civil law, commercial law, and private international law, Daniel chose to pursue doctoral studies in Paris, where he wrote a dissertation entitled "The Choice of Applicable Law for Contracts in Colombian Law."
After defending his dissertation, Daniel was appointed professor in the Department of Civil Law at Externado University of Colombia, where he teaches civil law and private international law.
Daniel has not severed his ties with France. Since November 2021, he has been a Visiting Professor at Paris Cité University in the Master's programs in Alternative Dispute Resolution, General International Law, and European Business Law. Author of numerous publications and presentations, Daniel also contributes to Derecho a la carta (Law à la carte), the first legal podcast in Colombia.
Daniel is also a member of the American Association of Private International Law, the Colombian Academy of International Law, and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.
